Mi-Ok Kim is Professor and Biostatistics Division Head in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Director of the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center Biostatistics and Population Research Shared Resource at UCSF. Dr. Kim completed her doctoral training in Statistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003. She has an extensive experience in statistical methodology development and innovative applications, particularly in the areas of novel study designs and robust analysis of longitudinal and censored outcomes for causal inference. Her research has been supported by NIH, National Science Foundation (NSF) and Patient-Centered Outcome Research Institute (PCORI), and been published in prestigious journals such as Annals of Statistics, Journal of the American Statistical Association, Nature Genetics and Lancet. Dr. Kim has been serving on the Editorial Board of Statistics in Medicine as AE and 2025-2026 President Elect of the Korean International Statistical Society.
